Plant identification guide.

Leaves large, sheathed, spear-shaped or rounded spear-shaped, on long fleshy petioles. Leaves few, in a bundle on a shortened stem or on tip of a well developed aboveground stem. Flowers very tiny, in fleshy ears, covered by one large white or otherwise colored leaf. Different combination of characters.
