Genus of 3-4 species of evergreen, dioecius shrubs from a wide variety of habitats from the Himalayas to E. Asia. Aucuba can be grown on a windowsill. It will reach 5 ft or more, but you can prune plant in the spring. |

Average warmth.Good indirect light is the proper location - an east- or north-facing windowsill is ideal. |
Compost must be kept moist at all times and never allowed to dry out. Misting is necessary. |
Take semi-ripe stem cuttings in spring. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame in autumn or spring. |
