Colmanara Colmanara is a comlex hybrid containing three different genera of orchids (Oncidium, Miltonia, Odontoglossum). Flowers are carried on long branching spikes, and typically last from 1 to 3 months. Flowers are typically maroon and yellow with mahogany bars and a white lip. Colmanara
Growing conditions Watering and misting Propagation
Indirect or filtered light. An east facing window, or shaded south or west window are essential. Grow in standard orchid potting mix. Ideal temperature range is 60-80F (15-27C). Lower the night temperature to between 50-55F (10-13C)for about 3 weeks in November to get good blooming the following spring. Avoid drafts. During the growing season, mist daily and water freely. Reduce watering in winter. Medium should be moist, but not wet. Do not let the plant to have "wet feet". Mist daily or provide high humidity. Divide when the plants overflow their containers, or remove backbulbs.
