Livistona

Family: Palmae.

Livistona australis Common name(s): Ribbon fan palm
Livistona Genus of about 28 species of single-stemmed palms, found in habitats ranging from streambanks and swamps to woodland, rainforest, and inland gorges, in the warmer parts of Asia and Australia. It's graceful form and robust nature has earned this palm a place in tropical and sub-tropical landscapes around the world.
Growing conditions Watering and misting Propagation
Average warmth.Good indirect light is the proper location. Grow in soil-based potting mix. Compost must be kept moist at all times and never allowed to dry out. Misting is necessary. Sow seed at 73 F (23 C) in spring. Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep and keep moist, they will germinate in 4 to 10 weeks.
