Plants have shoots of two kinds: 1) short, with long narrow lanceolate leaves; 2) elongated, looking like long slender with underdeveloped leaves. Nodes of elongated shoots give rise to plantlets with leaves and roots. Roots white, tuber-like. - Chlorophytum.
