Plant identification guide.

Plants with well developed leaves (do not confuse with leaves phylloclades of asparagus or cladophylls of ruscus which are leaf-shaped portions of stems and can be recognized from real leaves by having buds, flowers or fruits). Plants leafless or with leaves shaped as needles or scales. Scale-like leaves may be green (thuya) or pallid, inconspicuous and membranous, situated near bases of phylloclades or cladophylls.
